Hay deportes poco conocidos como este el chess boxing o "ajedrez boxeo" que consite en mezclar características del boxeo y el ajedez, donde se enfrentan 2 oponentes en 11 asaltos o rounds con 4 minutos para en 6 asaltos y 3 min en boxeo.

El término Draw significa tablas en español, es decir,el empate en una ronda de ajedrez que se llega porque nadie a logrado un movimiento que derrote al otro. Un modo diferente el "blitz" es en 12 minutos a contrareloj y se gana con un movimiento ganador jaque mate o knock out y si no lo decidirán los jueces.

 El primer campeonato mundial tuvo lugar en Ámsterdam, en el 2003, el campeón fue Iepe Rubingh. El primer campeonato europeo de Chess boxing tuvo lugar en Berlín el primero de Octubre del 2005, en donde Tihomir Titschko, de Bulgaria derrotó al alemán Andreas Schneider. La WCBO es la organización principal que los organiza. El color de los guantes puede ser rojo, negro, blanco o gris.
